What began in 2015 with a passion for vintage industrial lighting has grown into something we are incredibly proud of.
Vintage Electrical has now been selling on Etsy for 11 years, reaching more than 15,000 sales and earning a 4.8 star rating from over 2,600 customer reviews. Every sale represents a customer who chose a piece with character, history and a story of its own.
Where our journey began
Vintage Electrical was founded in Norfolk by Steve, a qualified electrician with more than 20 years of industry experience.
The business began by restoring original industrial lighting and giving beautifully made vintage pieces a new life. Early factory shades, bulkhead lights and traditional electrical fittings inspired us to develop new collections that retained the honest materials and practical character of the originals.
Etsy gave us the opportunity to share those products with people looking for something different from mass produced lighting. It connected our Norfolk workshop with homeowners, interior designers and businesses throughout the UK and further afield.
From our first order to 15,000 sales
Receiving our first Etsy order was an exciting moment. Reaching more than 15,000 sales is a milestone we could only have imagined at the beginning.
Over the years, our collection has expanded to include industrial pendant lights, solid brass wall lights, handcrafted shades, traditional switches and sockets, furniture and distinctive interior pieces.
Our products have been chosen for family homes, kitchens, bars, restaurants, hotels, retail spaces and major commercial projects. Although the collection has grown, our approach remains the same: distinctive design, quality materials and products made to bring lasting character to an interior.

Proudly based in Norfolk
Despite reaching customers around the world, Vintage Electrical remains proudly based in King’s Lynn, Norfolk.
Our surroundings and British industrial heritage continue to influence our designs. We are drawn to materials that age naturally, including raw brass, copper, cast metal, glass and enamel, creating pieces that become more individual with time.
We believe lighting should do more than illuminate a room. It should contribute to the atmosphere, complement the architecture and feel as though it truly belongs in the space.
