Vintage Electrical Lighting at Finisterre Cambridge
We’re delighted to see Vintage Electrical lighting in Finisterre’s Cambridge store. Suspended above the timber counter, our blue-green industrial pendant lights sit against a backdrop of wood panelling, coastal photography and dark metal fittings.
It’s a setting that shows how much the right lighting can contribute to an interior. The pendants bring colour and a warm glow to the counter, while their distinctive shape gives the space a character of its own.
Industrial pendant lighting with a coastal feel
The combination of soft blue-green shades and textured timber is what first catches our eye. The colour picks up the sea tones in the large photograph behind the counter, connecting the lighting with the wider interior.
Three pendants run along the counter, giving this part of the shop a clear visual focus. Their broad shades create a repeating shape across the space, while black twisted cables sit comfortably alongside the dark ceiling tracks and spotlights.
To us, the result feels relaxed and welcoming. The industrial shapes have enough presence to stand out, and the softer colour sits easily with the wood and coastal imagery.
A closer look at the details
Up close, there is plenty to appreciate: the open slots at the top of the shade, the visible lampholder, the pale inner surface and the Benjamin badge on the front. A glowing filament-style bulb adds warmth through the opening above the shade.
These details are part of the appeal of industrial lighting. From across the room, you notice the silhouette and colour. Closer to the counter, the fittings reveal more of their construction and finish.
Lighting that helps define a space
The Cambridge interior also offers inspiration for anyone planning lighting for a shop, café or home. Decorative pendants and directional spotlights sit together here, with the lower hanging shades marking out the counter within the wider store.
